A few weeks ago, we shared behind-the-scenes footage of the banding of our young pied avocets. We can now share that the chicks have completed their final health assessments—an important milestone before heading to their new homes. Out of the larger group, three pied avocets will remain here at the Bronx Zoo, joining the rest of the flock in the Aquatic Bird House.
