Vanderbilt women's basketball has settled into the No. 6-7 seed range in NCAA tournament projections. The Commodores (19-7, 6-6 SEC) have struggled somewhat against the upper echelon of the SEC, but they have won the games they're supposed to win and are guided by freshman sensation Mikayla Blakes,

With the win, the Auburn basketball team improved to 22-2 overall and now sitting at 10-1 in SEC play. The Tigers are tied for first place in the conference with Alabama, and the two of them will meet up on Saturday in Tuscaloosa.

Vanderbilt basketball lost to Auburn as expected, but it must play better going forward against elite teams if it hopes to make the NCAA tournament.
