Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday balked at Russian President Vladimir Putin’s announcement of an Easter ceasefire, saying air raid alerts were still sounding in the country.

Ukrainian troops at three separate locations along the front lines told CNN that as of 8 p.m. Saturday, there was no sign of fighting easing.

The temporary truce will be between 6 p.m. local time on Saturday and midnight on Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
