Kyle Manzardo homered to right field to lead off the ninth inning as the Cleveland Guardians snapped a three-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the Minnesota Twins.

It was a long day’s journey into night at Progressive Field on Tuesday. Most of it had to do with a nearly rainless rain delay that lasted over three hours. Then there was the game, which lasted until the bottom of the ninth inning when slumping Kyle Manzardo ended things with a leadoff homer to give the Guardians a 2-1 victory over the Twins.

Righthander Bailey Ober dominated and the Twins picked up 17 hits in a victory Monday night at Cleveland, winning their fourth straight.
