An overnight fire at a shopping mall in Iraq has killed more than 60 people, according to the country's interior ministry. The massive fire broke out early Thursday in the new, five-story shopping center in Kut, the capital of the Wasit province in eastern Iraq.

At least 50 people have been killed in a massive fire that swept through a shopping malll in Iraq, according to Iraq's state news agency (INA) and local officials. Published video footage captured the blaze engulfing the upper floor of the building overnight in Al-Kut city in Wasit province, south of the capital Baghdad.
