The NHL’s newest chapter in Salt Lake City just got a name—and it’s as bold as the region it represents. Meet the Utah Mammoth, the permanent identity of the team formerly known as the Utah Hockey Club.

The NHL team in Salt Lake City will be called the Utah Mammoth going forward, ending a protracted, yearlong naming process that began with the Arizona Coyotes becoming the Utah Hockey Club last year. The franchise revealed its new identity with a video on X Wednesday.
