Jurors have been deliberating for more than a week at the bribery and racketeering trial of former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan.

Madigan faces a 23-count indictment in federal court, charging him with racketeering conspiracy, bribery, wire fraud, and attempted extortion.

Jurors in the Michael Madigan corruption trial are resuming deliberations Wednesday, their sixth day of discussions in the landmark case. The jury began deliberating in the afternoon of Jan. 29, kicking off the final phase of a landmark four-month trial.
