Governor Abbott signed two bills into laws dealing with immigration and border security in Fort Worth. He was joined by U.S. Border Czar Tom Homan.

A woman was assaulted near a business on South Jennings Street on Wednesday morning, and a suspect was arrested, according to Fort Worth police. Police were called to the 900 block of S. Jennings, on the city’s near south side, about 8:45 a.m.

One suspect has a violent criminal history including prior charges of murder and aggravated assault with a firearm.
