Staten Island has a fair share of sophomores playing varsity ball during the 2024-25 campaign, several of which actually made the team as freshman a year ago. As far as we can tell, there’s 14 who either start or are a part of a team’s rotation this season.

A transfer from Paul VI, Abreu brings tremendous quickness to the floor and does a nice job of getting to the glass. He’s averaging 13.6 points on a well-balanced attack and is also a top rebounder.
