Ogden Deputy Fire Chief Mike Slater said in a news conference later Saturday evening that the power company had to shut off a “high-tension” line that was on fire and posing a danger to firefighters. As of 8 p.m., Rocky Mountain Power’s website said there were 2,763 customers without power.

OGDEN — Flames engulfed a building in Ogden Saturday evening in the area of 22nd and Lincoln. Deputy Fire Chief Mike Slater said crews were dispatched to a fire at 4:39 p.m. at a five-story under-construction apartment building. The chief said crews were still battling the blaze after 7:00 p.m.
