On Feb. 28, seven planets—Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Venus, Neptune, Mercury, and Saturn—will all grace the early evening sky. Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Mars will be easy to spot with the naked eye, while Uranus and Neptune will require binoculars or a small telescope.

Seven planets currently form a rare "planet parade" in February's evening sky, with three easy to see with the naked eye, and two more possible. It will return in 2036.

Friday night is one of the best nights to see the rare cosmic sight of all seven planets aligning across the night sky. The next time to catch a planet parade is August or wait until they realign in 2028.

This phenomenon, known as a "planet parade," will feature Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune all present at the same time along a line in the night sky, NASA says.

This Friday, several planets will be visible to the naked eye and through a telescope thanks to a planetary alignment or "parade of planets."

Uranus and Neptune can be seen with a telescope or binoculars. Check after the sun sets. Consider using a stargazing mobile app to help spot the planets. NASA says four planets will be visible at once again in late August 2025 and five planets in late October 2028. Five planets will again be visible in late February 2034.
