Firefighters Battle Blazing Deer Creek Fire as Containment Grows
Fire crews are making progress on the Deer Creek Fire burning near the Utah-Colorado border in San Juan County. The wildfire has scorched 17,123 acres and reached 30% containment as of Sunday evening.
The fire burned 14 acres along the south side of the BNSF Railway mainline that runs through the area, immediately east of Deer Creek Road and around the park's parking lot.
