The New York Jets are downplaying anything regarding running back Breece Hall for now. During his press conference following Day 1 of the 2025 NFL draft, general manager Darren Mougey discussed more than his team's first-round pick in Armand Membou.

When the New York Jets first drafted Breece Hall early in the second round of the 2022 draft, the regime believed he could be the kind of feature back that they had been searching for over the last few years. That regime is no longer here. But that doesn't mean the Jets are going to be giving up on Hall just yet, either.

The Jets hold eight picks in this draft, and their first is the No. 7 overall selection. What Mougey should do with that pick has been the subject of debate for months.
