The Atlanta Falcons fired coach Raheem Morris and GM Terry Fontenot on Sunday, following the team's victory over the Saints, the team announced. The ousting marks an unceremonious end to Morris' two-year run in his second tenure leading the franchise.

The Falcons began their search after hiring former longtime quarterback Matt Ryan as president of football. Ryan is leading the searches for coach and general manager and is scheduled to have his first news conference in his newly created role on Tuesday. The new coach and GM will report to Ryan.

Meanwhile, Atlanta signed seven players, including wide receiver Chris Blair and running back Carlos Washington, to reserve/future contracts. The Falcons also passed on re-signing kicker Lenny Krieg, who landed a reserve/future contract with New York Jets on Monday afternoon.

The Giants are the favorites to land John Harbaugh. According to reports, he is studying film of young quarterbacks, including the Giants Jaxson Dart.
