A report surfaced that Islanders defenseman Noah Dobson has been made available ahead of the March 7 trade deadline.

With Mathew Barzal out indefinitely and suffering what is believed to be a season-ending injury, the team just lost one of its best players, but the team is still playing great hockey without him.

Barzal had a procedure done on his kneecap Thursday and is expected to miss about six weeks, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports Saturday. Barzal has six goals and 20 points in 30 appearances in 2024-25.
