The Lebanese Hezbollah group Sunday announced the funeral of its longtime leader will take place on Feb. 23, months after he was assassinated in a series of Israeli airstrikes in a southern Beirut

Gaza Hezbollah's former leader Hassan Nasrallah, killed in an Israeli air strike in September, is to be buried in Beirut's southern suburbs, a traditional heartland for the group, its secretary general announced.

The funeral for Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, killed last year in an Israeli strike, will be held on February 23, said the Iran-backed group's current chief Naim Qassem on Sunday.
