Victor Wembanyama making his first All-Star appearance headlines the list of reserves for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game.

After revealing the starters for the All-Star Game last week, the league finalized the rosters, announcing the reserves for the annual showcase on NBA on TNT on Thursday night.

Victor Wembanyama has been selected as a first-time NBA All-Star reserve, joining notable players for the Feb. 16 event in San Francisco.

The star Spurs center becomes the first San Antonio player since Dejounte Murray in 2021-2022 to make the All-Star squad.

The 7-foot-3 generational talent will be joined by fellow first-timers Alperen Sengun of the Houston Rockets and Jalen Williams of the Oklahoma City Thunder in the West, as well as East new faces Evan Mobley from the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cade Cunningham from the Detroit Pistons, and Tyler Herro from the Miami Heat.

The NBA announced the reserves for the 2024-25 All-Star game on Thursday night, and San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is one of the biggest names to earn a spot.

Wembanyama becomes only the fourth Spurs player to make the All-Star Game in his first or second season. The others: Alvin Robertson in 1986, David Robinson in 1990 and 1991, and Tim Duncan in 1998.

The versatile guard is named to the Western Conference reserves. Teammate Norman Powell is not despite averaging a team-best 24 points per game.

Powell prognosticated before the season started that other players could step up and fill the void left by Paul George. He backed that up by turning into one of the league's premier tough shot-makers. He's hit a scorching 43.5 percent of his 3's this year and come up with some huge buckets to help them to their No. 6 standing in the West.
