Saturday’s Knicks victory was delayed for about 10 minutes because of a bent rim that was actually straight. Apparently Mikal Bridges jump-started an early fourth quarter investigation by telling the officials the rim was askew as he was taking free throws. The thought was that a previous dunk from OG Anunoby had shifted the metal circle.

Things got off to a hot start for New York with a 38-25 first-quarter lead thanks to the sharp shooting of Anunoby, and the all-purpose work of Hart. New York was tested in the second quarter alone with a 42-34 run by the Kings. Malik Monk led the way for Sacramento with 31 points on 12/21 shooting.
