Al Horford has not joined the Golden State Warriors, but the Boston Celtics center has fans among their players. Steph Curry praised Horford while talking with The Athletic's Anthony Slater last Thursday, though he understandably kept it brief because the two still aren't technically teammates.

The Golden State Warriors have been repeatedly linked to free agent big man Al Horford, but Udonis Haslem was once an NBA big man himself, and he suggested Horford won’t fix anything.

With that as the backdrop, Marc J. Spears of ESPN and Andscape introduced a new dynamic on Monday during a television appearance on NBA Today. Spears noted that the Hawks have interest in a reunion with free agent big man Al Horford.

The Golden State Warriors could trade Jonathan Kuminga to the Chicago Bulls for Nikola Vucevic rather than signing Al Horford in free agency.

Al Horford is widely expected to sign with the Golden State Warriors this summer, assuming he doesn't decide to call time on his career. The veteran big man is an unrestricted free agent. The Boston Celtics' current cap situation and the fact that they're retooling while Jayson Tatum recovers from an Achilles tendon tear mean Horford is unlikely to re-sign with the franchise.

Evan Sidery of Forbes has reported that Horford will make a decision between Golden State and the Nuggets. He also noted that the Warriors are the current favorite for the veteran big man, but that Denver would become a more interesting option if Jonas Valanciunas works his way to Europe.

Golden State has had a slow offseason, but coming away with Horford, Simmons and Seth Curry would be a great set of moves to add more winning presence on a team trying to make the most of the end of the careers of Steph, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler.
