The strange theory started when Trisha welcomed her firstborn, Malibu Barbie, nearly a week after Queen Elizabeth II had died in September 2022. She gave birth to another daughter, Elvis, in May 2024. Though Elvis technically wasn’t born when it happened, people kept the bit going when they tied her birth to Pope Francis’s death on April 21, 2025.

Or, more specifically, the celebrity deaths that have coincided with the babies’ birthdays, known online as the “Trisha Paytas baby curse.” Most recently, internet jokesters have correlated Paytas’ third child — Aquaman, born Tuesday — with the same-day death of Black Sabbath lead singer Ozzy Osbourne.
