A landspout tornado is a less intense tornado. It's usually weaker and shorter-lived than the classic tornadoes we see in severe weather outbreaks, but one in Monday tore through Franktown, damaging seven businesses.

A fast-moving landspout tornado struck more than a half-dozen businesses in Franktown in Douglas County on Monday afternoon, authorities said. The Franktown Fire Department said on social media that seven businesses in a shopping center near the intersection of Colorado 83 and 86 sustained roof damage, but no injuries were reported.
