Trey Sweeney and Riley Greene homered during a six-run 10th inning on Sunday as the Detroit Tigers beat Cleveland 7-2, extending the Guardians' losing streak to 10 games. Javier Báez had two hits and Tarik Skubal struck out 10 as the AL-best Tigers swept the three-game series.

Trey Sweeney, whose batting average is sinking ever close to the .200 mark, swatted an opposite-field three-run home run that triggered a six-run outburst in the top of the 10th inning, sending the Tigers to a 7-2 win, extending the Guardians' losing streak to an unfathomable 10 games.

CLEVELAND -- Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal will be joining three teammates in the 2025 All-Star Game on July 15 in Atlanta. To no one’s surprise, Skubal was added to the American League roster on Sunday evening. He joins outfielders Javier Báez and Riley Greene and second baseman Gleyber Torres, who were elected as starters by fans.

One more Detroit Tiger is joining the All-Star party. Starting pitcher Tarik Skubal was added Sunday to the American League team for the All-Star Game. Pitchers and reserves were announced Sunday for both leagues for the game July 15 in Atlanta.

Gleyber Torres, Riley Greene and Javier Baez had already been announced as starters via the two-phase Fan Ballot, but Tarik Skubal was unsurprisingly added today as the two pitching staffs were announced.
