Dodgers slugger Shohei Ohtani is coming out with a children’s book about his dog, Decoy. The five-time All-Star announced the news on his Instagram on Thursday with a picture of Decoy and a link to preorder the book, which is called "“Decoy Saves Opening Day." Here’s the blurb of the book, according to the publisher, HarperCollins.

The 32-page book, which Ohtani co-authored with Michael Blank, is titled “Decoy Saves Opening Day” and will be released in February. Ohtani hopes to use the book’s sales to support animal rescue

Apparently re-writing the record books was not quite enough for Shohei Ohtani. Now he's writing his own book. The three-time MVP and two-way superstar will soon be able to add published author to his lengthy list of accomplishments.
