This latest episode of the Las Vegas Raiders Insider podcast brings a coaching search update on the eve of the weekend.

Pierce was hired as the Raiders linebackers coach in 2022 under then-head coach Josh McDaniels. In October 2023, Pierce was named interim head coach after McDaniels was fired. In January 2024, he was officially named the Raiders head coach.

The Las Vegas Raiders are the latest NFL team with a head coaching vacancy after the franchise fired Antonio Pierce on Tuesday. Pierce only got one season in the official role, and he was plagued with quarterback issues throughout the year. However, he’s now gone, and Las Vegas will work to find his successor.

As far as this year’s head coaching search goes, Friday, June 10th marks what is arguably the most significant day for Mark Davis and the Las Vegas Raiders.
