On Wednesday night, Belichick and North Carolina extended an offer to a name that will sound very familiar to New England Patriots fans. LeGarrette Blount Jr. received just his second Division I scholarship offer from North Carolina, with his first coming from Marshall on January 22.

From working to instill a culture to bringing in talented players to play for him, the former New England Patriots coach has done a good job of leading the Tar Heels into a new era.

The eldest Blount played for Belichick for four seasons from 2013 to 2016. He won three Super Bowls while with the Patriots as their power and short-yardage running back. He racked up 6306 rushing yards over his career while adding 56 touchdowns.

LeGarrette Blount Jr. has received an offer from the Tar Heels, the class of 2028 prospect announced on social media. The son of the Patriots standout running back with the same name, Blount plays defensive back and wide receiver at Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona.

After having success with LeGarrette Blount at the NFL level, Bill Belichick is looking to recreate that magic with his son at the University of North Carolina.
