As far as Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier are concerned, an extra $50,000 should've come their way for their efforts in the UFC 318 main event.

The BMF belt still belongs to Max Holloway. In their third, and seemingly final, fight, Holloway and Dustin Poirier produced another classic. They went back and forth from the opening to closing bell, but in the end Holloway earned a unanimous decision and now moved into a tie for second place on the all-time UFC wins list.

After losing the first pair of meetings in February 2012 and April 2019, Holloway (27-8 MMA, 23-8 UFC) was determined not to let Poirier (30-10 MMA, 22-9 UFC) sweep their series in his exit from the sport on Saturday at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
