The Denver Police Department said one person is in custody after a woman was shot early Saturday morning. Officers responded to the report of a shooting in the 10700 block of E. Dartmouth Ave. just before 4 a.m. When they arrived, they found a woman suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

There were a pair of shootings and a stabbing overnight Friday in the Denver metro area, police said. The Denver Police Department said at around 10:40 p.m. Friday night that it was investigating a shooting in the area of East 44th Avenue and Milwaukee Street.

Tayjahn Thomas, 23, was shot and killed in his home at the Renaissance at Lowry Boulevard apartment complex at 550 Alton Way on Tuesday, Denver police said.

One man, who was in the driveway, backed away from the officers. AURORA, Colo. — A man who was shot in Aurora on July 4 has died. The Aurora Police Department said Wednesday that the man, identified by the Arapahoe County coroner as 24-year-old James Allen Woodard, had died overnight in the hospital.
