According to the notice from the National Highway Safety Transportation Administration, Ford says the recall is due to fuel injectors inside vehicles, which could leak and crack inside the engine compartment. Ford says if enough liquid fuel or even vapor accumulates on a hot surface, a fire could ignite underneath the hood.
