An Apple insider has revealed some details about Gemini's role in Apple's upcoming Siri upgrade and AI features.
Apple is sitting out the costly race to build AI models and infrastructure, as the iPhone maker becomes a potential kingmaker among tech rivals seeking to dominate the new industry. This week, the Silicon Valley group announced its most consequential move in AI so far through a deal to use Google’s Gemini models to power features for the iPhone and improve its Siri voice assistant.
The iPhone 17e, which is rumored to arrive in the next couple of months, will have a significantly upgraded display. According to leaker Digital Chat Station's Weibo post, it will have a 6.1-inch, 60Hz LTPS OLED display with the Dynamic Island. Other improvements include the new A19 chip, and Face ID facial recognition.
Apple’s Creator Studio takes in all its mainstay apps for a subscription price seven times cheaper than Creative Cloud.
Apple will lean on Google to help finish its bungled attempts to smarten up its virtual assistant Siri and bring other artificial intelligence features to the iPhone as the trendsetting company plays catch up in technology’s latest craze.
Apple has agreed to pay the state a $150,000 penalty and agreed to change its business practices to resolve allegations that certain New Jersey locations did not properly display prices.
