A month of high-stakes games continues this week and ends with the College Football Playoff national title game Jan. 19 in Miami Gardens, Fla.

The Cavaliers and Nittany Lions both closed out their seasons in style during the busiest day of the 2025-26 college football bowl season

The 2025–26 season features 41 bowl games, including four college football playoff first round games, four quarterfinals, two semifinals, and the national championship on Monday, Jan 19.

The UIL Texas high school football playoffs have reached the semifinals with teams needing just one more win to reach the state title games in Arlington.

The bowl schedule kicked off Saturday, Dec. 13 and goes all the way until Jan. 2. The College Football Playoff carries us from there to Jan. 19, when two teams will vie for a national championship in Miami Gardens, Florida.
