Kansas State football landed maybe its biggest get of the transfer portal cycle by adding the reigning Big 12 Freshman Defensive pLyaer of the Year.

Owasso senior receiver Julius Wilson announced his commitment to Kansas State on Sunday. Wilson committed to Oklahoma State in November before his recruitment reopened the following month. He then picked up offers from Kansas State, OU and UAB.

Georgia Bulldogs defensive back Adrian Maddox has announced that he will be joining the Kansas State Wildcats ahead of the 2026 college football season.

Wilson chose K-State over Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Tulsa and Texas Tech. He recently finished campus visits in both Manhattan and Norman. But he preferred the Wildcats. Wilson was previously committed to Oklahoma State, but he decided to explore other options after Eric Morris replaced Mike Gundy as head coach for the Cowboys.
