Reports from various outlets, including Bodyslam.net, confirmed that Fatu was being taken off TV while he healed from a dental procedure, which is why WWE ran that storyline of Fatu's mouth being bloodied and his teeth knocked out. Although any sort of injury isn't good, it was a relief to fans to know it wasn't something more serious.

Self Made Pro has also heard that WWE has pencilled him in for a return on this Friday's episode of SmackDown in Berlin, Germany. It's worth noting that Drew McIntyre, whom Jacob was feuding with before dashing off for dental surgery, will work a '3 Stages Of Hell' epic vs. Cody Rhodes on that show.

BodySlam+ also reported that WWE is hopeful that Jacob Fatu will get a breakout year in 2026. He had a big year in 2025, beating LA Knight at WrestleMania 41 to win the United States Championship. He also feuded with Solo Sikoa, leading to a babyface turn.

Roman Reigns, the Usos, Jacob Fatu, and Solo Sikoa continue to be part of WWE. As of writing, the Samoan Werewolf is on hiatus from the Stamford-based promotion but expected to return soon.
