Tottenham Hotspur slumped to an FA Cup third round exit at the hands of Aston Villa, who beat them 2–1 to pile more pressure on under-fire Thomas Frank. Spurs were absolutely outclassed during the first half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and were deservedly trailing by two goals at the break.
