HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A California man is in the hospital after state officials say he fell off the trail at Sacred Falls State Park. The state Department of Land and Natural Resources says the man and his wife were rescued last Sunday afternoon.

A California woman has been cited for entering Sacred Falls State Park, which was closed after a rockfall that killed eight people and injured dozens in 1999. The woman and her husband were rescued from the park on the afternoon of Feb.
