The Hollywood Reporter has learned that the film's embattled best actress Oscar nominee Karla Sofía Gascón will no longer be coming to the U.S. for any of this week's many awards activities.

Netflix is distancing itself from "Emilia Pérez" star Karla Sofía Gascón in an effort to salvage the film's Oscar prospects.

In a tearful interview that Netflix did not authorize, the ‘Emilia Pérez’ star denied calling her costar Selena Gomez a “rich rat” and accused her detractors of unearthing “false” intel to derail her best-actress campaign.
