Delhi NCR is once again enveloped in dense fog, leading to poor visibility and travel disruptions across the region. The thick blanket of mist has extended throughout northern India, affecting daily commuters and travelers.

North India faces a dense fog crisis, affecting visibility and flights in Delhi. The cold wave continues, impacting IGI Airport with severely reduced runway visibility. The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange warning for more foggy days ahead.

Besides Delhi, Srinagar, Chandigarh, Agra, Lucknow, Amritsar, Hindon and Gwalior airports also reported zero visibility.

A thick layer of fog disrupted flight and train operations in the national capital amid an orange alert by the India Meteorological Department. Over 100 flights were delayed at the Delhi Airport and dense fog lowered the visibility conditions.

Dense fog returned to Delhi and its adjoining areas such as Ghaziabad and on Friday morning, with visibility dropping to zero in some places, which prompted the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) to issue an advisory over possible impact on flights.
