Monday's severe weather moving through Minnesota created dangerous conditions. According to the National Weather Service, a tornado was observed near Fairmont, Minnesota on Monday afternoon. The federal agency says it also received "multiple tornado reports" near Winnebago in Faribault County.

The National Weather Service warned thunderstorms are likely Monday across central and eastern Minnesota, with the possibility of hail and tornadoes.

Extreme thunderstorms, hail, damaging winds, frequent lightning and possible tornadoes are anticipated Monday afternoon and evening across central and eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin, according to the National Weather Service.
