LTIMindtree , India's sixth-largest IT firm, said on Friday that former president Venugopal Lambu would return as CEO after a two-year stint at Randstad Digital.

For Lambu, this will not be his first stint in the Mumbai-based company, which ended last year with $4.29 billion in revenue. Lambu worked in Mindtree Ltd in 2020 as its president and executive director,

LTIMindtree [NSE: LTIM, BSE: 540005], a global technology consulting and digital solutions company, announced that the Board has decided to appoint Venu Lambu as the CEO (Designate) & Wholetime Director based out of London with immediate effect.

Venu had earlier left LTIMindtree to join Randstad Digital as its CEO, focused on global capability centres (GCCs) business in India and driving its revenues. In his previous roles, he also held various positions at Cognizant, HCL Technologies, and IBM.

Lambu is a global executive leader with more than 30 years of experience in driving strategies and hyper-growth in the technology and services industry

To ensure a smooth transition in the management, Venu Lambu will work alongside Debashis Chatterjee, chief executive officer and managing director at LTIMindtree.

Debashis Chatterjee, or DC as he is colloquially known in the industry, took over the reins of LTIMindtree in November 2022 after the merger of Larsen & Toubro firms L&T Infotech and Mindtree

IT services provider LTIMindtree said on Friday that former president Venugopal Lambu would be the new CEO. He will replace Debashis Chatterjee, whose term ends in November this year. Lambu will join as CEO designate with immediate effect and is appointed for a five-year term, LTIMindtree said in a statement.
