Death, taxes and Joey Chestnut. The glizzy king couldn't be stopped this Fourth of July as he made a triumphant return to the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating contest. Chestnut downed 70.5 hot dogs and buns to rout the field and win his 17th Mustard belt.

Chestnut, 41, had won eight consecutive titles heading into 2024. Last year’s contest was won by Patrick Bertoletti, who finished second this year wit 46.5 hot dogs and buns consumed. Miki Sudo claimed the pink belt in the women’s contest after eating 33 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes.
