"Good Trouble Lives On" is known as a national day of action and brings topics of controversial changes happening throughout the country to the events. SHARON On Saturday, over 1,000 nationwide protests are being held to call for change, defend civil and human rights and to honor a late civil rights activist.
Thursday marked five years since the death of civil rights leader and Congressman John Lewis, which is why the movement was held that day. The Good Trouble Lives On organization said Lewis coined the phrase "Good Trouble" to describe coming together for peaceful action against injustice.
The downtown Raleigh rally, part of national “Good Trouble Lives On” protests, will focus on a GOP bill that would affect North Carolina elections.
