Shares of auto maker Ford dropped after the company disclosed a pricey recall for potentially defective fuel injectors.
The Ford Motor Company issued more recalls this year than any other vehicle manufacturer has in a calendar year, according to the Wall Street Journal. The automaker reported 89 recalls in the first six months of 2025, which sets a record for any single car manufacturer for a full year.

The latest recall is certainly not the first announced by Ford recently. The brand has issued 88 safety recalls in the first half of 2025—more than any other automaker in a full calendar year. Likewise, over the past 10 years, Ford has issued far more recalls than other auto brands, logging 458 recalls between 2015 and 2024.
