It's always an incredible situation when players make their debut in Major League Baseball. That was the case for Hyeseong Kim of the Los Angeles Dodgers this weekend, who many expected to be the potential starting second baseman to start the year.

The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled Hyeseong Kim from Triple-A Oklahoma City over the weekend due to Tommy Edman needing to go on the 10-day injured list because of right ankle inflammation.

Signed to a three-year, $12.5 million contract last winter, Kim was working on his swing in Triple-A. The promotion is likely to be temporary with Edman expected to return next Saturday.
