Veterans made their way to Detroit Lions training camp in Allen Park, Michigan, over the weekend with media flocking to ring in the dawn of the new season for the Motor City's NFL franchise. The Lions have big goals ahead of them with a daunting schedule on the horizon and the return of several key players from injury.

The head coach does not expect Onwuzurike to contribute should the team make the postseason. The fifth-year defender re-signed with the Lions on a one-year deal that comes with $3.5 million guaranteed, so Detroit will have to decide whether or not to give him another opportunity in 2026.

Campbell told reporters that he's looking fast in practice on the sidelines, and that the last step for him in his rehab from his leg injury is just seeing how his knee responds to routes and changes in direction on the field in coverage.
