Sorry I didn’t go to Mexican restaurant. However there’s a great Cuban restaurant by the airport. Given Miami has many Cubans, it might not be a bad idea to try to find a Cuban restaurant around Ocean drive.

The best Cuban restaurant in Miami by far is Versailles. Worth going. The food and the atmosphere has no second. In Ocean drive I can't recommend any.

Havana 1957. The food is Cuban cuisine but the menu has very many dishes and entrees that are the exact same things you will find on a menu at a Mexican restaurant. Add to that the live music and incredible atmosphere! You will not be disappointed give them a try. We went to the one on Ocean Drive but the other one is on Collins.
